Even Groene Vrienden at the ZIE conference

🤖 Live Demo: Robot Swarm Inspection in Action A co-production by RoboHouse and SAM XL, supported by Even Groene Vrienden Learning Communities & Beethoven Zuid-Holland at the ZIE conference
What happens when two robots work together as a team?

At this live demonstration, watch two Boston Dynamics Spot robots collaborate on a real-world industrial task. The first Spot autonomously inspects an environment for anomalies — such as detecting a gas leak or pressure fault. The moment an issue is identified, it instantly communicates with the second Spot, which takes physical corrective action, such as closing a valve. This is robotics swarming in practice: intelligent, coordinated, and fully autonomous.

The demo is an ongoing activity, so feel free to stop by any moment!
Why this matters: The demo illustrates the real-world potential of multi-robot systems in high-risk or hard-to-access environments — think semiconductor cleanrooms, industrial facilities, or offshore infrastructure. By removing humans from hazardous situations and enabling continuous monitoring, this technology represents a major step forward in industrial safety and efficiency. This demo is set up by students from different backgrounds, working together in a so-called Learning Community and striving for societal impact.
Relevant for:
• Robotics & automation professionals
• Semiconductor and cleanroom operators
• Safety engineers
• Anyone curious about the future of autonomous systems
• Anyone curious about cross-boundary collaboration in Learning Communities
