Sustainable environments Curacao
A second Learning Community is being established on Curaçao with a focus on “the healthy neighborhood.” The focus of this LC is on mapping and improving the health of the inhabitants of Curaçao. The poorer section of the population in particular suffers from obesity and a lack of opportunities for healthy activities. This theme can be interpreted very broadly, so to get a better idea, below is an overview of the themes that fall under this LC.
During these projects, you will travel to Curaçao for a period of approximately 2–3 months (flexible). The University of Curaçao will act as your client while you collaborate with a broad network of stakeholders throughout the project.
Focus: waterzekerheid, klimaatadaptatie, zeespiegelstijging, hitte en ecosysteem-bescherming, met een sterke koppeling tussen wetenschap en beleid.
Focus: stedelijke transformatie, erfgoedbescherming, wonen, veiligheid en publieke ruimte, met aandacht voor sociale cohesie en klimaatadaptatie.
Focus: energietransitie, duurzame mobiliteit, gedragsverandering, communicatie en institutionele verandering.
